After leaving university, Tom Fort worked as a reporter at the Slough Observer and the Slough Evening Mail before joining BBC Radio as a sub-editor in 1979. He worked in the BBC Radio newsroom in London for 22 years. Tom left the BBC in 2000 and has since written a number of non-fiction books including
